Patella Carpet & Tile and our flooring installers are proud members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Local Union 373. We are committed and dedicated to providing the highest quality of commercial flooring installation. Our floor layers install many types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient flooring, wood, and ceramic tile. We are experts at interpreting blueprints, understanding
installation patterns, and employing industry-leading tools, adhesives, and fastening systems.
Estimating & Project Management
Utilizing high-tech computer estimating software, our team of estimators and project managers are capable of estimating the entire project design accurately and efficiently. On the management
side, we provide direction for field activities related to the products, installation teams, and any coordinated subcontractors. We succeed in this area because we take a hands-on approach to every project. We take the initiative to solve problems, meet deadlines, and understand our customers priorities.
Budgeting & Design Development
We can assist general contractors and end-user clients with practical design ideas that will fit any style and budget. Our experience in the industry allows us to provide accurate pricing, even when drawings and specifications are 50% complete, early on in the design process. We also have the ability to work with clients directly and procure a vast array of flooring samples, so they can be sure they are getting the type of flooring that meets their design and budgetary needs.
Residential Services
In addition to our commercial contracting business, Patella has a residential showroom showcasing carpet, LVT, and hardwood products. Whether we are installing a small bedroom of carpet, or expensive hardwood floors in a newly-constructed home, our attention to detail provides our customers with a product and installation that will last for decades to come.
Training & Safety
Safety and efficiency are our top priorities. Because of our membership to the UBC, our floor layers participate in many different education programs at the Training Center. Topics include Occupational Safety and Health Administration certifications, personal and tenant protection, containing contaminants, material handling, and more.
Bonding & Insurance Compliance
Whether it be a large government project requiring a performance and payment bond, or a small retail shop inquiring about our liability insurance, our customers can rest assured knowing we always meet all state and local requirements to do business. We are fully licensed and insured to perform work in multiple states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
ABOUT
Patella Carpet & Tile's humble beginnings began in the 1950's when Americo Patella and his friend and co-worker started a small floor covering business in Youngstown, Ohio named Standard Floor Coverings.
In 1983, Americo's son, Anthony, bought out his 30 year business partner. The new company became Patella Carpet & Tile. The company began by paying off debts left from Standard Floor Coverings. This enabled the new company to establish much needed credit from their suppliers. They relocated to Boardman in 1989.
From the beginning, Patella developed a reputation for quality installations and fair prices, and the list of customers began to grow. In 1987, Americo's youngest son, Tom, joined the family business. His goal was to expand the company's limited presence in the commercial sector, while keeping the residential side strong. Since then, Patella has grown into a 30 employee company doing work in 3 states, specializing in all aspects of commercial flooring. Patella's entire team, including estimators, project managers, and skilled installers are dedicated to delivering the highest quality work, and delivering it on time. Patella has completed more than 60 school projects since 2011. Besides Education, Patella works extensively in the Healthcare, Industrial, Restaurant, Government, and Retail Markets.
