This project was a ground up athletic facility including the high school varsity weight room, varsity and freshman locker rooms, coaches offices, a film room, and more. We
worked with the rubber flooring
company Regupol to create a
custom rubber flooring design.
Installation challenges included
"drop zones" for heavy weights,
several logos, and a tight
summer deadline. We were
able to overcome all these obstacles to deliver a stunning finished product.

This project required extensive man power, as we were required to install 5,300 SF of Regupol Rubber flooring in 5 short days. The Cavs were on their longest road trip of the season, so we knew this was the only time of year we could pull it off. And we did. Coordinating with Infinity Construction, we removed and replaced their entire gym and exercise area in just 5 days time.
You wouldn't have guessed by the finished product that we had such a tight deadline.

Cardinal Mooney's training facility is set within an old US Army "Armory" building on their campus. They tasked Patella with designing, purchasing, and installing over 6,000 sq. ft. of recycled rubber flooring. We included a large logo, agility area (with underlayment), and a drop zone for heavy lifts. Turning something old into something new always makes for a unique challenge.

The main challenge for this project was its second floor location. Thank goodness for the Salem High School football team. They assisted us with carrying 36 (heavy) rolls of 3/8" recycled rubber flooring up a flight of steps. Salem opted for a simple color scheme of white specks only. Although it looks basic, the finished product really pops. As of 2022, the school district is still happy with our installation and overall performance of the rubber.
